Mustang leads the way for Team Sky
There's a new starat the head of this year's Tour de France cycle race, but not one to give Team Sky's defending champion Chris Froome sleepless nights.
Team Sky is using the head-turning 5.0 litre V8 Ford Mustang as a scouting car during the gruelling 3,519 kilometre race.
"Spectators love the Team Sky Mustang - I've never seen anything like it in cycling." Rod Ellingworth, Head of Performance Operations for Team Sky said. "Other teams want to know more about the car. Even the Police stopped me becasuse they want to see the Mustang up close."
Ford is Team Sky's exclusive supplier of cars and vans. In addition to the Mustang, the Team Sky fleet includes Mondeo Estate, Mondeo 5-door, S-MAX, Edge and Transit models.
